Cubes contain up to 5% more protein than traditional Lucerne harvested in the same field! |

Lucerne Cubes... the facts Cubes are processed from pure Lucerne without the use of artificial bonding agents. The Lucerne is harvested by specialized machines. The mobile cuber’s 1.5m ‘pick-up’ sprays the hay with a fine water mist before feeding into a chaff cutter. A press wheel then extrudes the naturally bonded Lucerne through 66 radial dies to form the cubes. The process allows all the leaf to be held and not thrashed out in the bailing process so the leaf to stem ratio is very high.

Lucerne cubes reduce fire risk and are vermin free.

Feeding cubes provides high quality fibre and protein and
reduces dust and fines thus avoiding respiratory problems caused by baled
hay. *Analysis shows that the nutrient content is very high in relation to the normal range found in Lucerne hays, a reason why many clients now feed cubes to their performance horses (polo/racing/eventing/show) and production animals (beef/dairy cattle, goats, deer etc) with very favourable results. Cubes are mould free with a very long storage life remaining as fresh and nutritious as the day they were harvested. With three times more storage area required for bales than cubes they offer not only compact storage but safe and easy handling, no waste and are very freight effective. |
